“Tornado in Dallas,” reads text superimposed over the video. The post’s caption includes the hashtag “#2024.”

There has not been a tornado in Dallas this year, according to an area meteorologist. The post includes clips of tornados that occurred in other places and videos that were circulating online before 2024. It also shows tornados that appear to be digitally created.
So far, no tornado in Dallas in 2024
Daniel Huckaby , a National Weather Service meteorologist, told USA TODAY there have been no tornados in Dallas County or in Dallas city limits in 2024. However, he said there have been three tornados in Collin County, which encompasses part of Dallas and is considered part of the “Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.”
