Law enforcement reminds drivers to remain vigilant after deadly attempted carjacking

A deadly attempted carjacking in Garland is serving as a reminder for North Texas drivers to stay alert and aware of their surroundings, according to police.

A Garland police report says a driver shot and killed a man who allegedly tried to steal a vehicle with a family, including children, still inside. Authorities are investigating the shooting as self-defense.
