A man was arrested nearly two years after he allegedly tricked an elderly woman at an Ocala Walmart into giving him her debit card and PIN, leading to the theft of over $3,000.
On June 14, 2024, Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies contacted an elderly female victim regarding a grand theft incident. The previous day, the victim had traveled to the Walmart located at 9570 SW Highway 200 in Ocala for assistance with repairing her cellphone, according to the arrest report.
