Despite the continued presence of extreme drought conditions and wildfires, Marion County officials have lifted a mandatory burn ban that had been effect for multiple weeks.
Effective Thursday, May 28, the mandatory burn ban for Marion County was rescinded, transitioning the area back to its normal outdoor burning regulations.
