Dunnellon man jailed for pointing gun at child, threatening deputies, MCSO says

A 40-year-old Dunnellon man accused of pointing a handgun at a child, battering a woman, and threatening to shoot law enforcement officers has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Back on Saturday, May 30, Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a local residence in reference to a suspicious 911 call featuring an open line and yelling in the background, according to the arrest report.

When deputies arrived at the home, they made contact with a female victim who was with two children. The victim told deputies that she had been packing her vehicle to go stay with family members when the incident occurred…
