OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) — A Marion County jury found a man accused of shooting and killing another man in a Burger King parking lot guilty of murder.
Jaylin Johnson was convicted Wednesday in connection with the death of Jose Valliant, 28, who was shot in the parking lot of a Burger King on East Silver Springs Boulevard in November 2023.
The judge ordered the Department of Corrections to conduct a pre-sentencing investigation. A sentencing hearing will likely be held in the fall.
