Gainesville City Commission moves toward removing historic buffers near University & 13th, schedules discussion on ALPRs

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – At the August 27 General Policy Committee (GPC) meeting, the Gainesville City Commission moved forward with eliminating historic buffers in an area east of the intersection of University Avenue and 13th Street; they also scheduled a discussion on Automated License Plate Readers (Flock cameras), proposed another subcommittee, and scheduled a discussion on changing the City’s seal and flag.
