When Gainesville K-12 students went back to school Aug. 10, some schools may have felt emptier than others.
Tina Days, a 48-year-old mother of four children attending East Gainesville schools, said rezoning can benefit the community. But she didn’t feel heard when discussing rezoning proposals with the Alachua County School Board last spring.
