A 44-year-old man from Fort Myers was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle while walking along US Highway 301, just north of the Marion County line.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. near the intersection of SE US Highway 301 and SE 41st Lane, just north of the Hawthorne city limits in Alachua County.
