Construction in The Villages should be halted due to drought

With all the issues with water and constraints on its usage, we need to take a good look at the core issue.

Residents are required to cut their usage, however what is the Developer doing? He continues to build knowing that there is a water shortage. Additional construction will only compound these issues. Should the county/state suspend construction for the present time? Under Gary Morse the policy was for the residents’ quality of life. Under Mark Morse, that is not the case. There is only greed! He cares less about The Villages, only his personal income. What about the financial issues with The Village Health? Selling Citizens First Bank? All to put money in his pocket with no regard to Villagers. The county/state should suspend all construction in Sumter, Lake and Marion counties until there a clear path on how to resolve the water issue. It is great to say there is a drought, but without all of the additional housing south of State Road 44, how bad would it really be? You know…..
