A Belleview woman was arrested with two bullets after being stopped for speeding.
A deputy observed 52-year-old Laura Marie Freer driving a white four-door utility vehicle eastbound on Southeast Sunset Harbor Road in Summerfield around 12:10 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicle turned onto Southeast 100th Avenue before quickly turning back onto Southeast 145th Place. As the deputy tried to catch up, it appeared to be traveling 45 mph. He could not get close enough to pace the vehicle until it turned onto Southeast 95th Court, where he determined the vehicle was traveling 41 to 43 mph in a 30-mph residential zone, the report said.
The vehicle then turned back onto Southeast Sunset Harbor Road, and the deputy conducted a traffic stop near the 9400 block of that road. Another unit arrived to assist as a K-9 walked around the outside of the vehicle to check for narcotics. The K-9 positively alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the interior, the report said…
