Home health aide from Ocala arrested for allegedly stealing over $4K from elderly client

A 26-year-old home health aide from Ocala was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly stole cash from an elderly female client and used her credit cards to make thousands of dollars in unauthorized purchases.

This past Sunday, Joshua Daniel Williams was arrested on an active bench warrant. The arrest stems from an investigation initiated by the High Springs Police Department in June 2025 after the victim’s daughter suspected identity theft.

According to the arrest report, Williams was employed by HCP Home Health Agency and was working in the victim’s home. Investigators stated that Williams repeatedly went into the elderly woman’s wallet inside her purse to steal cash, as well as to take photographs of her debit and credit cards…
