PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through Monday. Please stay hydrated, limit prolonged time outdoors, and avoid extended sun exposure, especially between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. First Alert Days will continue through Monday.
After reaching 117 degrees on Saturday, temperatures won’t be quite as hot today, with a forecast high of 110. However, higher humidity with dew points in the upper 50s to low 60s will make it feel even warmer. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop again across the high country this afternoon and evening, but the chance of storms reaching the Valley is much lower than it was on Saturday.
Highs will climb to around 111 on Monday before easing to about 109 on Tuesday. Temperatures will begin climbing again by midweek, with a high near 110 on Wednesday and 113 to 115 expected by the end of the week. As the heat intensifies, additional Heat Watches or Extreme Heat Warnings, along with more First Alert Days, may be issued later this week. Stay tuned for updates…
