PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Lines stretched out the door this weekend as customers rushed to say goodbye to Phoenix’s Tres Leches Cafe, a locally owned Mexican coffee shop that is closing for good.
The storefront, founded in 2014 and located along McDowell Road at 13th Street, offered Mexican-inspired lattes, licuados, coffee and aguas frescas, and to take home a piece of the shop’s history before the doors closed for the final time.
“I loved working here. I’m super bummed,” said Marina Gaspar, who had worked there for about a year as a barista. “It’s bittersweet. A lot of people have come in crying. We’re a part of their routine.”…
