The Kansas Jayhawks are back on the road, looking to get their first conference win of the season and break a four-game losing streak. Standing in their way is one of the surprise teams of the Big 12 this season: The Arizona State Sun Devils. Under coach Kenny Dillingham, the Sun Devils are thriving in their second season.
Kansas started the season ranked in the Top 25 in the preseason editions of both the Associated Press (AP) Poll (#22) and the Coaches Poll (#24), but quickly dropped from the polls after their week 2 loss. Arizona State received some votes after their 3-0 start.
This is the first ever meeting between the Jayhawks and Sun Devils. It is also the first regular-season game in the state of Arizona for the Jayhawks.
