PHOENIX — Phoenix firefighters were dispatched Friday afternoon to South Mountain after a man fell a “significant distance.”
The Phoenix Fire Department was dispatched to the Mormon trail on the mountain at about 1 p.m. for reports of an injured hiker who fell. The fire department said the man appeared to be in “extremely critical condition.”
After locating the man, fire crews utilized a helicopter to hoist him off the mountain. The hiker was taken to a hospital with critical injuries…
