Buc-ee’s opened its first Arizona location on June 22, marking a new westernmost outpost for the Texas-based travel center.
The opening in Goodyear, a suburb of Phoenix, marks the debut of the beaver-branded chain in the Southwest, coming amid continued expansion out of its Texas stomping grounds.
Buc-ee’s opened its first Ohio location in Huber Heights this year, and in 2024, it opened its first westernmost location in Johnstown, Colorado. The company anticipates adding inaugural locations in Louisiana, Kansas and Wisconsin by the end of 2027.
The Arizona location is expected to bring more than 200 jobs to the city and will occupy 74,000 square feet with 120 fueling stations. It will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The city of Goodyear said in a news release that it anticipates that as many as 40,000 vehicles will travel to the Buc-ee’s throughout opening day and the following week…
