Active monsoon week ahead as more rain, flood watch in store across Phoenix area

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Monday brought our first official rainfall of monsoon 2026 to Phoenix, and much more is on the way.

Look for just a slight chance of storms today, as the atmosphere in the Valley is fairly worked over from Monday’s storms. An active day is still on tap for the high country. Valley temperatures will peak near 107 degrees today with very high humidity that will make it feel even warmer.

Monsoon activity ramps up again on Wednesday, with a 40 percent chance of afternoon and evening storms in the Valley. Thursday and Friday are likely to be especially active across the state and are First Alert Weather Days for high storm chances…
