PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man will spend over six decades behind bars for shooting two people during a violent string of armed robberies across the Valley.
Trey Waters, 32, was sentenced to 65 years in prison, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced Tuesday.
The violent crimes began on April 12, 2021, when officials say Waters forced his way into a hotel room off of Interstate 10 and 51st Avenue. Waters shot a man in the neck, tied a woman’s hands with duct tape and stole their money.
Two weeks later, Waters robbed and beat a food vendor with a gun near 24th Street and South Mountain Avenue. He also pointed the gun at two women during this incident…
