The City of Surprise invites the community to celebrate the official grand opening of Spark Surprise, the City’s new business development center, on Thursday, October 1. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, local vendors, food, music, and entertainment.
Spark Surprise serves as a hub for entrepreneurship and business development, connecting entrepreneurs and small businesses with resources and opportunities designed to help them start, grow, and succeed. The center offers expert business advisory, start-up support, co-working spaces, a podcast room, networking events, workshops, trainings and mentorship.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:15 p.m. featuring remarks from Mayor Kevin Sartor and Economic Development Director Jeanine Jerkovic.
The event will also feature activities along Elm Street. A portion of the street will be closed to make room for music, food, and entertainment from the City’s Block Party Trailer. A mini version of “The Sunday Market on Elm,” a seasonal community market that takes place on Elm Street each Sunday from October through April, will showcase local vendors and artisans, giving attendees an opportunity to shop local while exploring the new center…
