West Phoenix Rail Horror: Woman Fights For Life After 27th Avenue Train Hit

A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a train Saturday morning in West Phoenix near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Thomas Road. She was found with life-threatening injuries and taken to a nearby hospital, while emergency crews and the train involved remained at the scene as Phoenix police opened an investigation into the collision.

According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the collision happened just before 9 a.m., and officers say the pedestrian’s identity and the cause of the collision are not yet known. Arizona’s Family reported that the intersection at 27th Avenue and Thomas Road was partially closed as crews worked to clear the scene and direct traffic.
