State Police investigating school bus crash in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Michigan State Police (MSP) are investigating a crash involving a Forest Hills Public Schools bus Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened around noon at the intersection of East Beltline Avenue and 3 Mile Road.

State police said their initial investigation shows that the bus was traveling eastbound on 3 Mile when an SUV, traveling south on East Beltline, ran through a red light and hit the bus.

The driver of the SUV, a 39-year-old woman, was injured and brought to a nearby hospital. Authorities said her injuries were not life-threatening…
