We’ve already told you about free outdoor movies going on across West Michigan and free fitness classes in Grand Rapids. And now, Kent County is getting in on it with a couple of community events that basically bundle a whole afternoon of free stuff into one place.
Two Community Fest Dates Announced
After a successful first year, Kent County is expanding its Community Fest this summer with two free events, one in the northern part of the county and one in the south, so both sides get a shot at it.
The South Community Fest will take place Wednesday, July 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brewer Park in Byron Center. The North Community Fest is set for Thursday, August 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kent County North Campus in Cedar Springs.
What Families Can Expect
Both events are designed as easy, drop-in summer hangouts where families can show up, grab some food, and let the kids burn energy while also learning more about county services.
