GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A meeting outside a Kentwood restaurant led police to 10 bricks of cocaine weighing 22 pounds, and the man responsible is now returning to prison for yet another drug conviction.
James Arthur Daniel was recently sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute five or more kilograms of cocaine.
The bust also netted several firearms, two vehicles and cash from a Grand Rapids home on Blaine Avenue SE north of Burton Street.
Daniel, 52, in October met with a known drug courier from Indiana outside a restaurant on 28th Street SE, records show. Unbeknownst by Daniel, he was being watched by Drug Enforcement Administration agents, court records show…
