GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two beautiful and well-behaved dogs.
Pretty, 1-year-old Indieis more than just her good looks, Shelter Director Angela Hollinshead says, she’s also housetrained, well-mannered and ready to play with people and animals of all kinds. She has experience living with cats and loves playing with the other pups in her doggy playgroup at the shelter.
When she first arrived at the shelter, volunteers say, the Great Dane-Australian Shepherd mix had to be coaxed out of her kennel where she would cower, afraid of other dogs and people. Now, she still has some nervous tendencies but she can’t wait to get outside every chance she gets…
