Corewell Health buys Grand Rapids properties for $4.9M

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Corewell Health has purchased three adjacent properties near its Grand Rapids headquarters for a total of $4.9 million, according to online records.

The records show that the health system earlier this month bought the 0.4-acre property at 736 Ottawa Ave. NW south of Newberry Street for $1.98 million; the 0.3-acre property at 739 Ionia Ave. NW for $1.91 million; and the 0.2-acre property at 737 Ionia Ave. NW for $1 million.

In a statement provided to News 8 Wednesday, Corewell said it “recently purchased these properties due to their proximity to our Grand Rapids campus.”

“There are no current plans to develop or change the properties,” the statement continued…
