GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The Grand Rapids Public Museum kicks off its Summer Saturdays series on June 13 with a celebration of its new public riverfront space, beginning a lineup of weekly programs that will run through mid-August.
The opening event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and introduces visitors to the museum’s public space with direct access to the Grand River. The area features the renovated Cook Carousel Pavilion, views of downtown, an outdoor classroom space and other amenities.
“The GRPM has so much to offer our community,” said Rob Schuitema, director of public programs. “These Saturday programs allow us to dig deeper into topics, uplift our community partners, and give guests of all ages something unique to do on the weekend.
