Cyclosporiasis cases surge in Michigan counties, with adults 30-49 being the largest group

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — An investigation continues into a growing outbreak of cyclosporiasis, an intestinal illness caused by a parasite, as cases continue to climb across Michigan.

According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), investigators are still working to determine the source of the outbreak.
