GRAND RAPIDS, MI – West Michigan news station FOX 17 has announced a round of layoffs as the broadcasting industry prepares to implement 24/7 news streams.
A spokesperson for E.W. Scripps, FOX 17’s parent company, confirmed that there “are impacted positions” at the station in an emailed statement to MLive/The Grand Rapids Press on Tuesday, Aug. 4, but declined to share how many positions were cut locally.
