In a social media post, Stir It Up announced it would cease operations at the end of the year.
Stir It Up was founded in 2016 to employ people with disabilities. Initially operating out of a home kitchen, it eventually moved to its current Chicago Drive location in Hudsonville, offering cookies, muffins, cake pops and cinnamon rolls from its walk-up window.
That window will close at the end of August, when the bakery will focus on wholesale and custom orders over the next few months, giving employees time to seek other opportunities…
