Weather alert announced for freezing drizzle in 15 Michigan counties until early Wednesday evening

The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 10:41 a.m. EDT on Wednesday for freezing drizzle until 5 p.m. EDT for Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Muskegon, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia and Clinton counties.

“The light snow occurring over the area is starting to mix with or change over to some light freezing drizzle. The freezing drizzle is not expected to cause major impacts with it being scattered and very light. However, a light glaze could cause untreated and elevated surfaces, including roads to become slick. This potential will remain through the afternoon before ending by this evening,” states the weather service…
