VAN BUREN COUNTY, MI — A former Van Buren County specialty court administrator is headed to prison for embezzling over $100,000 while employed by the county.
Rachel Celeste Lindley, 42, who now lives in Bethesda, Maryland, pleaded guilty on Jan. 20, to one count of embezzling over $100,000. As a result of her plea, Lindley had a charge of embezzlement over $50 by a public official dismissed.
Lindley was sentenced Monday, May 18, to a minimum of 3 years, 4 months in prison and maximum of 20 years, according to court records…
