WALKER, MI — A real estate developer is appealing a Kent County judge’s decision to dismiss its lawsuit against the city of Walker after officials rejected a proposed townhome development on Greenridge Drive NW.
Jade Pig Ventures–River Ridge LLC filed the appeal following an April 17 ruling by Kent County Circuit Court Judge Scott Noto. He determined the company had not fully pursued the Grand Rapids suburb’s process for revising and resubmitting the proposal before turning to the courts.
The dispute centers on a proposed 162‑unit townhome project on roughly 35 acres east of 4 Mile Road NW and Alpine Avenue NW. The land, spanning three parcels owned by Jade Pig Ventures, was formerly home to the Greenridge Country Club, which closed in 1988…
