Neenah to hold “Yoga for Melanie” fundraiser for critically injured Wisconsin woman

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – “A Community of Support, A Future of Hope” is how organizers would describe their upcoming yoga-themed fundraising event for Melanie, a Wisconsin woman critically injured after a wrong-way driver caused a multi-vehicle crash in May.

On Thursday, July 30, Shattuck Park in Neenah will host “Yoga for Melanie,” a relaxing event that will also allow the community to come together to support Melanie and her family in the aftermath of the accident.

According to organizers, on the evening of May 8, 2026, a woman identified only as Melanie was critically injured in a wrong-way crash on I-41 near Winneconne Avenue in Neenah, reportedly due to an impaired driver fleeing from law enforcement.

Since that night, Melanie has remained hospitalized, fighting through a difficult and lengthy recovery…
