GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — Meals on Wheels, which is managed by the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Brown County, continues to be an essential operation while northeast Wisconsin deals with extreme heat.

The program, which delivers daily meals to the elderly and disabled at home, is also checking in on home-bound individuals to make sure they’re okay and weathering the heat.
“Our volunteers bring meals in and make sure they don’t see someone in distress, heat distress, or dehydration,” said Mary Schulautman, the ADRC manager.
“They would call back to the office, and one of our staff would reach out and see if they’re okay.”…
