APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) — The hometown of one of the world’s most famous magicians will be hosting the Society of American Magicians’ annual convention, where they’ll attempt to set a Guinness World Record, according to a press release.

Originally from Budapest, the family of famous magician Harry Houdini immigrated to the United States when he was four years old, settling in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Now, one hundred years after his death, hundreds of magicians will flock to Houdini’s childhood hometown from July 1-4 to “celebrate his life, legacy, and enduring impact on the art of magic”.
