MADISON, Wis. (WLIP)— Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation are sending more than $2.3 million to five cities to maintain 10 lift bridges that support the state’s maritime industry.
The annual Lift Bridge Aids funding will go to Green Bay, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Menasha, and Racine to help cover operating and maintenance costs for bridges that allow ship traffic into city ports.
