KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – Bike riding is a summer pastime for many in Northeast Wisconsin.
Wisconsin’s film industry poised for growth with new tax incentives
For those in the Fox Valley, that pastime has changed. The need for a bike changed from a hobby to a way to get places because their car was damaged.
“Many smashed vehicles meant that maybe there would be some people who needed a bicycle in place of their transportation. So we kind of put the word out just for Facebook, and we had a couple people respond,” Recyclist Bike Store Co-Owner Lora Glasel said, “And then the post, after a week, definitely snowballed, and we had quite a few responses.”
That snowball effect led to deliveries of free bikes this week, ranging from kids to adults who needed a bike for a sense of normalcy…
