APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV)- When a disagreement lands in court, the process is not always simple.
A new nonprofit in Outagamie County, the Conflict Resolution Center, is giving people another option: sitting down and talking through the problem with a trained mediator.

“We try to facilitate a conversation between the two parties, because many people find the courtroom intimidating,” Doreen Vedral, a volunteer mediator, said. “We try to make a more informal and calming experience for them.”
