Outagamie County faces road closures starting Oct. 5

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) — A Wisconsin county is set to experience a handful of road closures starting early next week, according to a press release.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced that several roads will be affected by the major I-41 project, which is reconstructing and expanding 23 miles of I-41 from four to six lanes, from WIS 96 in Appleton to County F in De Pere.

The project will impact the following roads:

  • County U southbound on- and off-ramps
    • Closed at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, and will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8.
  • West Frontage Road between Wrightstown Road and County U
    • Closed until early November
  • French Road between County DDD and Apple Creek Road
    • Closed through mid-November
