Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers’ magical run to the playoffs came to a disappointing end with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Saturday.
Green Bay was in full control of the playoff bout, but couldn’t convert a couple of key trips to the red zone to build a sizable lead. The Niners took advantage late in the fourth quarter when Christian McCaffrey scored on a six-yard touchdown run to take the lead.
Love threw an interception on the following drive, essentially sealing the deal for the 49ers. It was a bitter end to the Packers’ season, especially after Love had played so well up to that moment.
After the game, Love met with various 49ers players for postgame handshakes. One of those players to meet with the Packers quarterback was San Francisco’s defensive star, Fred Warner.
Warner had a memorable five-word message for the Packers’ young star after the game.
“Proud of you, for real,” Warner told Love.
