No injuries in Green Bay scrap metal fire Saturday

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A large pile of mixed scrap metal started on fire Saturday night in Green Bay, producing significant amounts of smoke and flames, according to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.

In a release from the department, the fire started on the 1300 block of Tomlin St. at 8 p.m. Due to the density and materials involved the fire took about three hours to be fully extinguished.

There were no injuries reported, the cause of the fire is unknown, and estimated loss in dollars is unknown…
