(WLUK) — Amid allegations of misusing taxpayer money, Newcap has decided to close its doors immediately and started informing employees Tuesday morning they no longer have a job.
In a press release, it states, “With deep sadness, Newcap announced that it will be closing its doors after extensive efforts to remain operational.”
“This is one of the most difficult moments in our organization’s history,” said Deb Barlament, Interim Executive Director, in the press release. “Our thoughts are with the individuals and families who depend on these services, as well as with the staff who have dedicated themselves to this mission. We pursued every realistic option available to prevent this outcome.”…
