MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – As rivers throughout northeast Wisconsin continue to recede, all that floodwater needs somewhere to go, usually, that’s somewhere downriver.
Following floods throughout the area in places like Shiocton, Clintonville, and New London, as the water there recedes and people begin returning to their homes, all that floodwater now travels down the river, putting areas like Neenah and Menasha at a flood risk.

Local leaders say that they are trying to get ahead of any potential flooding as best as they can.
Making sure that we are proactive and having opportunities to pump out the water when needed, having sandbags available for people, and our staff has already been putting sandbags out in public and private spaces as needed…
