Port of Green Bay reopens from flooding

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Eeborg was delivering wood pulp to the Port of Green Bay Tuesday for use in the paper industry.

Unlike other vessels in the past month, it was able to make into port after severe inland flooding that flushes out through the facility.

“When that water finally made its way to the port it just wasn’t conducive for safe navigation,” said Port Director Dean Haen. “The velocities were twice what they need to be, and they stayed that way up until last week.”…
