New Rochelle (N.Y.) Iona defensive lineman Joshua Simmons learned about his fit in the defense during is official visit to Wake Forest. His connection with the coaching staff and the feel on campus also rated high.
So at the end of the trip he committed to the Demon Deacons, which he announced today.
“I liked how much I felt at home at Wake,” the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Simmons said. “It reminded me a lot of Iona Prep if it were to be a college. I also like how the guys all interacted with each other. They all seemed very closely knit.”…
