JetZero project could shape future aviation workforce in N.C.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — JetZero broke ground on its new manufacturing campus in Greensboro this week, and it’s already highlighting the impact it could have on education programs across the region.

At Guilford Technical Community College, aviation student William McDonald sees the project as an opportunity to work on the next generation of aircraft. JetZero plans to build an aircraft that the company says will be 50% more fuel efficient than traditional airliners.

“The futuristic design, as well as the composite structures, definitely seem to be more aligned with what airlines are looking for now, a more fuel-efficient vehicle that can fly further with less,” McDonald said…
