Rainy start to Friday in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Happy Juneteenth! A cold front moving across the Piedmont this morning, along with remnants from Tropical Storm Arthur, are bringing steady rain to the area.  By lunchtime, both features will be exiting the FOX8 viewing area, and a clearing trend will be underway. We end the day with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-80s.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected overnight with low temperatures in the lower-60s.

The humidity dramatically improves on Saturday, and highs stay in the mid-80s.  We will have some morning clouds, then mostly sunny skies for the bulk of the day.  The cold front that comes through today begins to move back to the north on Saturday night as a warm front.  On Sunday, high temperatures rise into the lower-90s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies…
