GREENSBORO, N.C. — Triad residents are cleaning up after powerful storms brought strong winds, downed trees and scattered damage across the region.
In Greensboro, Ivan Mondragon said he was driving home on East Wendover Avenue when he came upon a fallen tree blocking part of the road and an officer managing traffic. He turned around and used straps from his truck to pull the tree out of the roadway.
“I believe in good karma,” Mondragon said. “When I see somebody in need, I’m always more than happy to help.”…
