Man dies after being pulled from house fire on Trent Street in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Smoke filled the air as Winston-Salem fire crews battled a deadly house fire on Trent Street Tuesday night.

According to the Winston-Salem Fire Department spokesperson, crews found 70-year-old Johnny Wilson inside the home and rescued him while battling the fire. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment by Forsyth County EMS but later died.

By Wednesday, the smell of smoke still lingered, and the home sat with one side charred and the inside unrecognizable.
